Baker Tilly Malaysia Appoints New Chief Operating Officer, Chief Finance Officer, and Managing Partners
Kuala Lumpur, 25th April 2019 – Baker Tilly Malaysia officially announced the appointments of key people to the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Finance Officer, and Business Division Managing Partners, in line with their business structure and expansion plans.
The new Chief Operating Officer, Joe Heng, is a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), an approved Auditor under the Malaysian Companies Act 2016 and a registered Auditor with the Malaysia Audit Oversight Board. Joe is currently also a Partner of Audit & Assurance in Baker Tilly Malaysia.
He is a Fellow of the Institute Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand, a Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia and a member the ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountants. Joe is also an approved Audit with the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors Cambodia.
The new Chief Finance Officer in Baker Tilly Malaysia is Lee See Ying, who is a Chartered Accountant of MIA) with more than 20 years of experience in various audit and special assignments.
The new Managing Partner of Audit & Assurance in Baker Tilly Malaysia is Dato’ Lock Peng Kuan. Dato’ Lock is a Chartered Accountant of MIA, an approved Auditor under the Malaysian Companies Act 2016, a registered Auditor with the Malaysia Audit Oversight Board, as well as an approved Auditor with Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors Cambodia.
He is currently Global Council Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Malaysia Advisory Committee, Chair of the ACCA Global Forum for Audit and Assurance, Board Member of the Audit & Assurance Standards Board, Member of the Capital Market Advisory Committee of MIA, a Chartered member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia, a member of the ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountants and member of the Industry Advisory Board at HELP College of Arts and Technology.
The new Managing Partner of Tax in Baker Tilly Malaysia is Anand Chelliah. He is currently a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, Licensed Chartered Tax Practitioner and Licensed GST Practitioner.
The new Managing Partner of Corporate Recovery and Consultancy in Baker Tilly Malaysia is Patrick McPhee. He is a Member of Chartered Secretaries of Australia. He has more than 30 years of experience and expertise particularly in Corporate Restructuring, Forensics Investigations, Transaction Advisory, Corporate Recovery and Litigation Support Services.
The new Managing Partner of IT Consulting in Baker Tilly Malaysia is Lim Huck Hai. He has more than 30 years of experience in IT and consulting. He is also an elected Vice President of the Malaysia Chapter of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, a Member of Australia Computer Society.
Huang Shze Jiun is the new Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Malaysia’s Johor Bahru Office. Huang is currently also the Vice President of MIA and Chairman of the Public Practice Committee of MIA.
The new Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Malaysia’s Penang Office is David Hor. He has over 25 years of experience audit, tax and consultancy. He has spoken at tax seminars and workshops, and published a book titled ‘Malaysian Tax Made Simple’, and is a member of the editorial board of a taxation and business information booklet.
Chong Ken Vun is the new Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Malaysia’s Sabah Office. He has more than 10 years’ experience in Auditing and Taxation of trading companies, Credit Corporation, Plantation, Farming, Property Development and Construction.
The new Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Malaysia’s Cambodia Office is Tan Khee Meng. He is a licensed auditor by Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia, an EXCO member of Malaysian Business Council of Cambodia and the Secretary General of Asean New Media Alliance.
