Baker Tilly Partner Appointed As Member of MASB

We are pleased to announce that our Audit & Assurance Partner, Andy Lee, is appointed to the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB).

The MASB is established under the Financial Reporting Act 1997 as the standard-setting body of the Financial Reporting Foundation (FRF). Aside from determining and issuing the accounting standards for the preparation of financial statements, it also makes up the frameworks for financial reporting in Malaysia alongside the FRF.

There are only eight members on the MASB who are all professionals with extensive knowledge and concrete experience in financial accounting and reporting matters. All the members are personally appointed by the Minister of Finance.

We are proud of the recognition given to Andy via this appointment, to represent the profession and the industry.
